This is the large Fisher Body plant located at Green River. The brick building in the back is where Coiled steel loads are received. The front track is where outbound body parts are loaded.
The Santa Fe Pacific is a HO model railroad. It size is 20 x 20 feet located in a climate controlled garage. The model train layout features NCC DCC with both plug-in and radio controlled throttles. Car cards are currently being used for simulating prototype operation. The layout location is between Ogden, Utah and Denver Colorado. The era is October 1979. This date was chosen because of the numerous railroads that were still around during that time period. The fictious railroad is jointly owned by the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific. In 1979 the SP did not have a route into Denver, and the ATSF had no acess to the Salt Lake City area.
